Roster

Roster

Your roster lists all students in your class along with their current Lexile reading measures.

The roster allows you to control settings for each student:
  1. Toggle book audio on or off. Toggling audio to "off" disables the pre-recorded read-along audio included in most LevelUp Reader books. See this blog post for more details.

  2. Select a user interface for each student, either Primary or Intermediate. The primary interface features a gold color scheme and design elements that might be more suited for lower-elementary users. The intermediate interface features a green color scheme and design elements more suited to upper-elementary or older students:

  3. The student interface setting only affects the appearance of LevelUp Reader for each student, not the content available to them.

  4. Toggle student recording on or off. Toggling student recording to "off" disables the microphone button included on most LevelUp Reader books. This prevents students from recording themselves reading along to books.

  5. Generate and print quick response (QR) login badges for individual students or groups of students. This allows the student to log in to LevelUp Reader by scanning their badge instead of remembering a username and password.

  6. Update individual students’ personal information (see “Editing a Student’s Personal Information” below for details).
In addition to generating and printing QR login badges for individual students, you can do so for your entire class by clicking the Print All Login Badges button in the upper-right corner of your roster.

Editing a Student’s Personal Information

To edit a student’s personal information, just click their name in the Student column of the roster. An Edit Student window for that student appears:

Edit the student’s name, login credentials (click the show icon to see their password), grade level, and more, then click Save Changes to apply your updates. If you change your mind about the edits, click Cancel and Return to Roster.
