Roster

Roster

Your roster lists all students in your class along with their current Lexile reading measures. The roster allows you to control settings for each student:
  1. Toggle book audio on or off. Toggling audio to "off" disables the pre-recorded read-along audio included in most LevelUp books. See this blog post for more details.

  2. Toggle student recording on or off. Toggling student recording to "off" disables the microphone button included on most LevelUp books. This prevents students from recording themselves reading along to books.

  3. Adjust Quiz Frequency to limit how often students are given a comprehension quizzes. Just select the desired frequency from the drop-down list on a student’s row, from every time they complete a book to never.

  4. Toggle constructed response items on or off. Toggling constructed response items to "off" prevents students from having to write short answer responses and you from having to grade them.

  5. Generate and print quick response (QR) login badges for individual students or groups of students. This allows the student to log in to LevelUp by scanning their badge instead of remembering a username and password.

  6. Update individual students’ personal information (see below).

In addition to generating and printing QR login badges for individual students, you can do so for your entire class by clicking the Print Login Badges button in the upper-right corner of your roster.

Editing a Student’s Personal Information

To edit a student’s personal information, just click their name in the Student column of the roster. An Edit Student window for that student appears:

Edit the student’s name, login credentials (click the show icon to see their password), grade level, and more, then click Save Changes to apply your updates. If you change your mind about the edits, click Cancel and Return to Roster.
